St Martin’s Church located in Brighton enlisted Fernwood Interiors to help transform one of the Church’s original entrances’. St Martin’s plays a huge role in Brighton’s community, leaving large footprints in many lives and giving back at every opportunity. Having been previously been involved in the Church and wanting to help St Martin’s in continuing their wonderful work Fernwood wanted to do all they could to help.
The brief informed how the Church want the ability to host concert nights and provide the local community with social events. In order to help achieve their dream they were required to improve the facilities on site. Fernwood were only too happy to step in and provide not-for-profit project capability and offer their advice and vision in helping transform what had essentially become an unused storage cupboard.
It was necessary that the space would be clean and spacious allowing the Church to provide a hospitable environment for future guests and bands. To achieve this Fernwood first had to alter the walls, including filling the original door entrance, to provide a safe environment and utilise the space available. They then fitted out the new space with a full Howdens kitchen set-up, which included a hob and commercial dishwasher.
The end result is a modern kitchen for the Church, fitted out with all the equipment needed to help them host their upcoming events easily.
With the project being close to the heart of Fernwood’s Director, Dan Whittington, the whole team are extremely pleased with the successful fit-out and look forward to seeing a busy calendar ahead for St Martin’s.
